Role Description:

This is a full or part time on-site role for a Veterinarian located in the Buffalo-Niagara Falls Area. The Veterinarian will be responsible for diagnosing and treating illnesses in animals, performing surgeries, and advising pet owners on health maintenance and preventative care. The role also includes collaborating with LVTs, veterinary assistants and staff to ensure the best possible care for our patients and maintaining accurate medical records.

Are you a Licensed Veterinary Technician with a heart full of compassion and a knack for making pets feel at ease? We’re looking for you! In this role, you’ll be the right hand to our veterinarians, ensuring our patients receive the best care possible while keeping the atmosphere friendly and fun.

Some Of What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Assisting in examinations, surgeries, and all things vet-med related (yes, including puppy cuddles!)
  • Performing diagnostic tests and lab work to help our furry patients
  • Administering medications and vaccines-think of it as your superhero duty!
  • Monitoring anesthesia during surgery
  • Educating pet owners with a smile and a wealth of knowledge
  • Keeping our medical records organized
  • Offering lots of love and comfort to our patients (and maybe a few treats)

What We’re Looking For:

  • A NYS LVT Licensed individual, or someone with equivalent experience

We’re seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and a desire to support veterinary professionals in providing exceptional service to our clients and their pets. This role involves assisting in the daily operations of the veterinary clinic, ensuring the well-being of animals, and maintaining a clean and organized environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures, including animal restraint and medication administration.
  • Provide basic care for animals, including feeding, bathing, and walking.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including outside areas
  • Maintain accurate records of patient treatments, medications, and medical histories.
  • Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their animals’ health and treatment plans.
  • Monitor animal behavior and health status, reporting any concerns to the veterinary staff.
  • Support front desk operations by greeting clients, answering phones, and managing records.

Qualifications

  • We will provide all the training that you need, however, knowledge of basic veterinary practices is preferred.

Green Acres Veterinary Center is seeking an exceptional Client Services Representative to join our team! Do you want to work for a state of the art, AAHA accredited veterinary facility? There is plenty of room to learn and grow at this busy facility!

An ideal CSR must be professional, compassionate and motivated. Effective communication is key for this position as you will be interacting with clients and team members. Green Acres Veterinary Center is a 24-hour emergency hospital, so every day may be different!

Must be willing to work weekends and holidays. Daytime shifts are scheduled anywhere between 7 AM – 10 PM, depending on hospital needs.

Typical tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing excellent customer services through all interactions with clients and patients
  • Answering multiple phone lines
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Checking patients in/out
  • General use of office equipment
  • Coordinating the flow of pets and owners in the lobby
  • Ability to learn basic veterinary medicine terminology and standards of care
  • Becoming familiar with retail products, medications, vaccinations, etc.
  • Handling incoming emergency check-ins/in-take of critical patients
  • Recommending wellness services and preventative products
  • Resolving custom conflict and informal client complaints
